My friend Jody Heath is a terrific photographer. When she posted an image on Facebook of an old wagon that she'd found while walking her dog near her farm in the Ottawa area, I fell in love with it immediately.
I asked her if she would mind if I interpreted it as a painting, and she agreed even though I immediately said that I wanted to make changes to her already near-perfect photo.
Jody was kind enough to return to the site and get more photographs of the wagon as well as the background around it so that I could create a panoramic version without any branches or tiny trees blocking the main subject.
I then added a split-rail fence, which was based on a photograph that I took in the north end of Peterborough, to complete the idyllic pastoral image.
